Mike Sexton, better known as the Ambassador of Poker, was added to the Poker Hall of Fame this past Saturday, November 7th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Sexton, who has won numerous poker tournaments totaling over $3,700,000 in his 61 years, and has been the spokesman for PartyPoker.com, became the thirty-eighth member inducted in the Hall of Fame and the only chosen candidate this year (out of eight other nominees).

This year's Poker Hall of Fame's selection of Mike Sexton also coincided with the Main Event final table in this year's World Series of Poker, in which he won the "Tournament of Champions" (and not the actual WSOP) in 2006.

As his brother Tom said in the ceremony, which was later said to be more like a roast than an induction to the HallofFame (through the video montages and heartfelt speeches): "Mike was able to see the invisible for poker's growth. TV and the Internet led us into the poker boom and Mike was our point guard for both." Yet, when Sexton took up poker in 1977, there was no way he could have foreseen the market that exists today with online casino games and online slots, casinos like Rushmore Casino and Slots Oasis Casino, just to name a few of our favorites at slotstop.com.

We, at Slotstop, wish to congratulate Mike Sexton in being placed in the Poker Hall of Fame, and we salute all of his efforts in the gambling world. He certainly deserved such an honor!
