The highest buying-in event in the WorldSeriesofPoker of 2010 was $50,000, which was on this year's second event. This buy-in was the highest that has ever happened in the WSOP. So far, there has been one poker player who has won two bracelets in this series, Frank Kassela (in events 15 and 40). The highest prize so far, of $1,559,046, was in the Second Event and was won by Michael Mizrachi.
Once the World Series of Poker 2010 finishes on July 17th, the fifty-seven Main Events finalists will return on November 6th to duke it out to see who will become the winner of the 2010 WorldSeries of Poker. Last year's winner, Joe Cada, was the youngest winner the out of all Main Events finalists, and the youngest winner ever in the WorldSeriesofPoker.
In a Time magazine interview, Cada gave his opinion of whether online poker is gambling (more of an issue for US residents), insisting that the game is not about luck, but rather about "logic, decision-making, math", and hoped that this issue will be resolved soon. Since all casino games found at an online casino cannot vouch for what Cada differentiates between poker and other casino games (for instance, keno and slots are definitely luck-based games), legalized online gambling is probably a long way away in many countries (like the US) that ban it. So, online casinos like 888 Casino still have to abide by the laws of each land (and don't allow players from countries that don't allow gambling the right to play). Well, at least there are annual tournaments like the World Series of Poker 2010 to whet the appetite of those who love to gamble!
